Staffing Leadership Summit 2012

Discussion Topics

The CareerXroads Staffing Leadership Summit will be a special one day forum for Heads of Staffing (VP, Director or large Division Head - not the VP of HR but the person in charge of the staffing function) and their designated #2 person (often the person who attends our Colloquium events.) If you have questions about which pair should attend please give us a call. Registration for this meeting will close at 21 companies - 42 attendees. The meeting is open only to pairs - you must bring along your Head of Staffing for this event - individuals cannot attend on their own and registration will use two of your membership seats.

The CXR Staffing Leadership Summit will focus on issues directly related to corporate recruitment planning and strategy. We will have a mix of panel discussions and individual presentations around the following topics of interest.

  • RPO or No? Where will your firm be in five years on the subject of outsourcing?
  • Structuring Staffing for Business Alignment: Matrix, COE or let the pendulum swing between a Central and Decentralized organization?
  • Enterprise vs Best of Breed: Will Enterprise HRIS industry convergence (i.e. Oracle buying Taleo) change anything? If so, when?
  • Going Global Status: Where in the world is your staffing function furthest along? Which country is the most difficult to crack from a recruiting perspective?
  • Will Social Media Realize Its Hype? How will it impact succession planning? Or is it already?

As is our practice at CareerXroads Colloquium events we ask all attendees to bring “what keeps them up at night” in their recruiting organizations so we can help each other solve those issues. After all, it's the caliber of our group that makes each session unique and provides that Aha! moment you'll take back to your office.

June 5 - Tuesday

  • 6:00 PM We'll kick off the Staffing Leadership Summit with a group dinner and discussion highlighting the following day's events. Meet in the hotel lobby for transportation to dinner at Paris Club.

June 6 - Wednesday

  • 7:45AM Meet in hotel lobby to walk to our meeting at PepsiCo.
  • 8:00 AM Breakfast and Introductions.
  • 8:30-4:30 Meeting Session.

For those of you already registered, please do your best to notify us 10 days in advance of the event if you find yourself unable to attend.

Our hotel and meeting location are in downtown Chicago. Directions are outlined here. At off-peak times it is a 15-20 minute cab ride from either Chicago airport. If you are driving, parking at the hotel is $25 per day. There is also a parking garage directly across the street from the hotel.
